I think batteries will win in long duration storage over hydrogen as well. Batteries have a self-discharge rate, but geological hydrogen storage or cryogenic/pressurized tank storage also has a loss rate, and unpressurized tanks are ve

Hydrogen used for energy storage on the electric grid is mentioned in the article, but I’m fairly skeptical of this becoming economically viable. Hydrogen storage costs and losses over time are currently very similar to those in battery ene

I did my first programming in basic on a ti-83. Seeing the more advanced creations out there in assembly inspired me to learn more. These machines are still a great entry into programming.

It was clearly the original invention. I think what Fernando added was an open source implementation of the same ideas. And now I see Jupyter notebooks everywhere and never see a Mathematica notebook.

Associate professor… ipython 20 years ago… jeeez what do you have to do to make full professor? Clearly creating the interface to 90% of data science doesn’t cut it.

As an English speaker, DuoLingo didn’t seem that interesting to me. Then I listened to a podcast where the found Luis von Ahn explained why he started the company [1]. He grew up in Guatemala, and he noticed that learning English would esse

I've been using hash tags in file names (e.g. "eat more veggies #todo.txt"). To group by tags, I use the smart folders functionality on windows/macos/googleDrive to save a search for items with the tag in the name.
