Amazing to me the knee jerk response from most people is to criticize this company. Yes they have issues (as does literally every brand/company), but on the whole aren't we glad people are leading the charge towards electric vehic

Phones are a lot easier to manufacture than cars. There are so many more factors that need to get straightened out in the process.

Things move slowly in the world of Big Automotive. A new model can easily get worked on for 5 years. If they are planning on having an electric version of each of there models, they need to be making this investment ASAP.

>Until they actually ship, the Model Y is as much vaporware as Rivian. This is absurd IMO. Tesla has now produced several hundred thousand cars. To suggest they have as much credibility as a company who hasn't even created ONE car (

>Who drinks milk anymore? Millions and millions of people >If you drink milk, people look at you like some sort of weirdo. Maybe where you live. Most places this is absurd.

Weird, when I search "Jaguar self driving" or "Jaguar Hands Free" I don't find any real videos of it at all. Are you sure it's not Jaguar that doesn't have self driving? Do you actually drive your car hand

How are you going to say Tesla doesn't have a product and then go on to list a bunch of worse products as if they are better? Tesla has effectively incorporated Lane Keep Assist/Automatic Cruise Control into a single product calle

I don't think the bar is set at 100% autonomy. I think he's saying it will be possible your car can do those things and probably do them safer than a human, there will still be edge cases for many years I'm sure. I do think b

What do you call it when a Tesla drives me 90% of the way to work where I don't do anything but observe? It's not full self driving but it definitely is driving it self and providing value.

The LIDAR used for FSD will not be like the LIDAR in your vacuum. At the moment the LIDARS that car's would need are still several thousand if not tens of thousands.

Tesla's plan is to replace the Nvidia chip in the car with it's own much more powerful chip. This is going to allow them to achieve autonomy. Those cars sold 2 years ago will be autonomous. That's the plan anyways.

Google would have to own the cars that this point tho right? They can't just plop a LiDAR on a car and call it self driving. So 10k+ the cost of car. Maybe 50k.

Really doesn't though. Humans are pretty good at driving, and 90%+ of accidents come from people being drunk/distracted/tired etc. We don't crash because we miss categorize a truck as a plastic bag or w/e.

>A company that is not profitable now that is going to make a profit down the road is a good investment, since you'll be buying it at a discount on the market now. No it's not because the market takes this into account.
