Used in finance for sure. And the reason is the extensive (and expensive) paid support. It acts as an insurance for these businesses that are all about risk management.

Traditional banks in Ireland are pretty bad by European standards. I'm with Ulster Bank ROI (which is actually a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Scotland) and have had a fair share of minor issues with them. Their app also sucks big time.
