Why we can't build chip factories in the west ? It seems we are bound to have our capacity limited by a few factories that can build all electronics we need. Nobody see the lack of availability of chips around ? I guess Asia is indeed

Are we advocating for ultra bright streets because some people might be criminal. It's nice that we suddenly no longer treat criminals like guilty but only society. Can't wait until US and europe turn into third world countries.

Don't put your hopes on Supreme Courts, they don't tend to really care about individual rights. It's all about politics and perceived public opinion. They just want to keep their power and fat salaries.

That is true, it’s pure naivety to believe GDPR changed anything. It enforced cookies to ask for permission and a few billions in extra bureaucracy. I don’t get why people want to live in a Kafka novel

Let’s be honest, it’s not up to the UK alone. The EU still has strong world influence and they will try to stop it at any cost.

The EU as a political union exists a little over a decade, if anything the UK never adapted to it.

The monoculture is definitely the most important bit. Imagine that elections can be controlled by Google, they will not always side with you.

Nuclear power is just unpopular because politicians can’t make money out of it. Due to its inherent risk, nuclear power plants require close government inspection which makes it a bit harder to cheat.

Apple lost touch with their clients, it became the large tyrannical IBM that Steve Jobs hated so much. Companies always suffer when their quintessential soul is lost. Business schools should learn from Elon Musk and drop the middle manager

Everything is offensive one way or another. It's a personal opinion and there are way too many people in the world. Even Good Morning can be seen as sarcastic or any text in English can be see as colonialist.

Slightly hard to believe in data these days ... I went to uni in portugal and it was rare to find a student that didn't use weed. I guess this is why it was so easy to legalise it. Then the data says 10% ... it's laughable.
