I cannot disagree more with all that omyou said. The UI can be whatever you want. It has themes, and I understand you can create your own. I don't see how sublime is more modern. For me are very similar.

Yes, I couldn't find at the time how to use them. I am talking again probable 15 or 20 years ago, so it might have been version 0.1 of N++.

But what I lick of UE is that you can do everything with your keyboard, no need to use the mouse.

In what way? I have used Sublime2 and 3, which might feel faster, VS Editor (I think is the name), much heavier, and Atom I think is the other. Never felt "wow, this is the future".

The UI is pretty configurable. You can use Menus, Menus with toolbars, or Menus with Ribbon. I use it only with menus.

It could be because they started as a Windows only product, then they produced a Linux version, and finally the Mac version. I have only used the Windows/Linux versions. By the way, with one license you can use all 3 platforms. I actua

One thing that I hardly see implemented is grouping of numbers and strings in 4s or 3s. Like the credit card companies do on their credit cards. For example, if you need to show me on a website my CBU, international account number which is

Yeah, notepad++. I also tried it. The price was better (free), but it lacked column mode, "reformat paragraph" (it basically takes separate lines and makes it into a paragraph), and trim trailing spaces, at least when I tested it,

That is what I wonder, UltraEdit is really nice. I have no relation to them by the way, latest version that I own is 26 something. While the latest release is 28 something. Maybe it is because 28 years ago, when it first released, internet

I tried Sublime text and I really like it. But I have been a user of UltraEdit for many many years (maybe 20?) and I still find it much more natural to use. I found it while looking for an editor to replace Semware's Qedit (DOS). I won

I actually use Microsoft 365. I pay 100 euros per year for 6 people. It is very good. It is just that I wanted to see how good Fastmail is, as many people here love it, but the price for us is crazy high.

A BIDET attachment for my toilet. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ But there are many different models.

I have heard very good things about Fastmail (mostly at hacker news). However, I wish they had a Family plan. We are 5, 300 euros per years is a lot of money (we pay for other services). So far we use Office 365 for 100 euros (you get the o

What is crazy is that since I manage a group that has 8.000 users in FB, we get lots of fake accounts requests to get into it so that they can SPAM whatever they want to sell. So I report the profiles many times (profiles with nudes, explic

Really? I thought it was the parents responsibility. Of course schools have a part on it, but "society"? How would you do that? Please elaborate.

The savings part you are right. They should go back to the taxpayers or ONGs.

Society don't "wish to imprison them" they go to prison to pay for a debt with society. Society wishes that nobody committed crimes so there where no prisons. At least I believe so.

What I would love is an affordable Amiga 500 clone. Extra points if it can also work as an Atari ST. Anyone knows if such thing exists? By affordable I mean 100~200 USD. HDMI and SATA for SSD/HDD. Thanks1

So, is it too crazy to think that prisoners need to pay for the accommodation, food, electricity, water, etc. that they receive while being in prison?

by kwanbix 5y ago
Oh, but that is the family plan. Yes, of course, there will be always a cheaper and a more expensive options. It is just that I feel that 10 per year (personal) or 40 per year (family) is a fair amount to pay for this service.

Bitwarden is €10 when invoiced annually (32 vs 10).

by kwanbix 5y ago
I do value the option of hosting Bitwarden myself, but if I have to pay 5/mo for a droplet, I rather pay that much to Bitwarden and forget about it.

by kwanbix 5y ago
I agree on supporting your vendor, however, I think 1Password is too expensive. That is why I pay for Bitwarden. The difference is 33% less expensive (or 50% more expensive if you look it from the Bitwarden side). I think 3.33 euros per mon
