What is crazy is that since I manage a group that has 8.000 users in FB, we get lots of fake accounts requests to get into it so that they can SPAM whatever they want to sell.
So I report the profiles many times (profiles with nudes, explicit pictures, etc), and half of the time, I get a response that they do not violate FB policies. I am talking abut pictures of assholes, tits, etc.
And no, it is not that I am horrified of seeing that, is that if I want to see that I go to other pages.
- Uberphallus 5y agoSame, 5k user local town group here. Every day accounts with names of another continent, created in the last week, with sexually suggestive pictures that usually involve a caption with some url shortener to video chat with them, 100% of the time they follow the community standards in my experience. I honestly believe the FB UI for reviewers only shows the picture and not the caption, I can't imagine any other explanation.
- AuthorizedCust 5y agoYou’re wasting your time reporting them. They are either bot-generated or done in large sweatshop operations. Just reject the membership and move on. It’ll get better when Facebook chooses to deal with this with more accuracy. Until then, any actions that go beyond basic protection of our groups is simply tilting at windmills.
- luxuryballs 5y agoIt’s almost like they took extra measures to make extra sure their automods aren’t prudes but not enough steps making sure they don’t block perfectly fine content.
