While people think this is a move to curl illicit app activity(which is the cover issue), I think there's a much bigger motive. It's the fight against Amazon. Depending on how strictly this is enforced, now Amazon Fire Tablet user

Nope. This 'self is the standard' way of GNU software is one reason I'm not a big fan of GNU. https://wiki.musl-libc.org/functional-differences-from-glibc...

Almost all of it. Musl AFAIK strongly sticks to the standard. It is one of the biggest things holding back wider adoption. Similar to the dependence between the linux kernel and GCC. Clang should work but linux also has the 'GNUisms&#x

Invasiveness of Messenger is much more bearable because it lets me communicate with my Facebook friends, which I see as much more important benefit compared to a time sink newsfeed. Also, using Messenger Lite (Android only) is a vastly bett

There's also Secret Conversations[1] which can be used in the Messenger app, that implements the Signal Protocol. Ideally people should move off Facebook, but I don't think most of people's friends (including mine) care about

Cloudflare is 'dominating' because of their free tier. There are other services actual companies use. Fastly, Akamai, AWS Cloudfront, CacheFly and more.

Team dysfunction seems to be a part of it. The 'head' guy for Siri, Dag Kittlaus left Apple to start Viv Labs in about a year since Siri was released. Their assistant Viv, looked pretty okay[1], and was since acquired by Samsung[2
