I am currently making my way through "The Fantasy Fiction Formula" by Deborah Chester. It's my first stab at this kind of thing, so it has been really eye opening. When I read any kind of fiction now, I can't help but ma

After reading a lot of the feedback here, I spoke to my tech lead. He admitted that he had been significantly harder on me than others because I was less experienced. He trusted it less and it was easier for him to just rewrite than bother

This is absurd. Twitter etc are private companies and can do what they want wrt their user's accounts. If they don't want their far-right politicians getting censored, then they can ban those platforms from the country completely.

Yep. If he has issues with it, fine. If he does though, I want him to bring this up during the code review process rather than passive-aggressively re-writing it after the fact.

I want him to stop doing it and treat me like the other members of the team. So, I guess I want advice on how to make that happen, if it's even possible.

This is an interesting point. The problem, I think, is that as individuals, we only have feelings based on our own experiences. So, perhaps in an aggregate sense, there is more suffering of all the men men who are slightly stigmatized becau

This is the crux of the problem. There are no economic incentives for this, even if it became very cheap. We would simply have to agree, as a global society, to invest in carbon capture because it's the right thing to do. Given our t
