I never made that claim. All I said was that there have been protests at the ICE facility in Portland, that there has been violence, and there has been arrests. All of this is well documented by a lot a news outlets and not just from thos

I recognize this stupid game. Let me guess, there is no news story I could post here that would satisfy you, am I right? MSNBC, CNN, local Portland TV stations? All have stories detailing the ICE protests, acknowledge that there has been

Do you deny that there have been protests around that ICE facility and that there has been some violence and arrests in connection with those protests?

There are certainly parts of Portland that are dealing with protests that appear, to me, to be dangerous enough that I have no interest on being anywhere near them. You certainly do not see those places on that website, nor any mention of

I am trying to understand your comment in context with the thread. Are you saying that if people continue to hold cultural or religious beliefs via faith in this day and age that they are mentally ill? You don’t outright say this, but in

I am not the OG commentator, but it’s not a mental illness to believe something that has been presented from authority to you for all your life. That’s a pretty normal human response. I’d bet money that everyone on this site believes deepl

All of it is subjective of course, and I will admit that once upon a time I was a tinkerer to try and find the perfect DE and UI for me . However, about 15 years ago I just got tired of that pursuit and just decided what MacOS gave me out

I am just following Schumer’s own words from last year about passing a clean CR. There is zero way the democrats can defend this action in light of their past opinions and comments on the subject of shutdowns. Either they were wrong then,

So why did you (meaning the American voters) vote to elect a GOP president, GOP senate, and preserve GOP control of the house? People seem to forget that America wanted this. None of this is a surprise and it was all vetted out during the

Strange…when I google “democratic leaders referring to republicans as nazis or fascists” seems to bring up quite a few results. Biden, Gore, Pritzker, Harris, quite a few more peppered about among the Democratic Party elected officials.

Oh I am not upset about it, as I said elsewhere that it was their prerogative to do it which is why the dems own it. I think it’s a bad/stupid strategy, because for a shutdown to be a threat, the other side needs to not want it at all.

It takes 60 senate votes to pass the resolution. There are not 60 GOP senate votes. Regarding the resolution, the senate minority can control passage or not if they have at least 40 votes. So everything you said above besides “funding is

You should probably read up on what it takes to pass a continuing resolution on government funding in the senate. The GOP and some democrats are willing to vote for the CR. It’s the dems that are refusing to govern in this case.
