You are undoubtedly correct on both of your points. Again, I stated that this was based upon my observations.

No, I must of misrepresented my thoughts. I stated that that was one way, not the way. It seems that with the size of Google today, and their notoriously strict hiring guidelines; based upon my observations, Google hires high-profile de

This name is awful. 1)It implies that copyright infringement is stealing. 2)It implies lack of responsibility, as in someone is making you do a certain action. You have a choice.

It seems to me that if you're a dev that wants to work at Google, sending them a cover letter and resume is a waste of time. Google can afford to pick almost anybody. You've got to stand out. I'd imagine that it's probably best to become an

I can't comment on the situation, but I think throwing the towel as a CEO is the wrong decision. Just because you don't have an upcoming round, your duty as a CEO is to the company in any condition that it's in, come hell or or high water.

The article doesn't mean "love" in the literal sense, even though I think you know this. I think it means "love" in the sense of feeling appreciated. I also agree with your expectations of stable pay and health benefits. I do think that som

His main point is that 37signals doesn't have a native app for Android/iOS but should because of the increasing number of users that own these devices. His secondary point is that a mobile phone web app simply isn't enough. Without rereadin

His title is clearly calling out 37 Signals, not every company. Are you a bit defensive? 37 Signals has thousands of users, maybe even more. It's my understanding that there is constant demand for a native mobile app. If your business doesn

Joel: At the risk of sounding trollish, you read like that Chris Crocker guy of "Leave Brittney Alone" YouTube fame. 1) He's a CEO. He'd better have thick skin to be one. 2) Most of your points are dead on correct. HOWEVER, I've repeatedly
