There was WW1 and WW2, there was cold war 1, and there will be cold war 2. I would also guess that Chinese authorities could easily "trigger" the DOJ to punish a Chinese national. Once paranoia sets in, it benefits China too.

Wow, thanks, can't wait for this. How hard will it for library writers to supply their libraries as modules? Will the only requirement be to remove macros?

Wow, this is really good, there are still things I can learn. C++ really has a lot of good things. It's just a shame it's so slow to compile. I'm curious if anybody is working to make C++ faster to compile. Even if it was a s

That's what I do, but it doesn't change the fact that compiling C++ is pretty heavy and slow, and C++ still suffers from a lot of backward compatibility.

I wish there was some dialect of C, with a complexity between C and C++, with simple things such as string, vector, dict... I like V, nim, Zig, etc, but I just want a language that use the same idioms of C, with the same syntax flavor, with

I think Microsoft will not sit idly and let valve make money thanks to an emulation tool. I hope they will let it go, but if they see an opportunity to sue, they will. Not to mention that they could change a few things in their toolchain or

I just wish there was a good enough equivalent of visual studio for C++ on linux, especially for its debugger. I'm not sure Clion is good enough. The usual answer I get is "use emacs or vim", but I really don't have the

That's a question a typical rich person would ask. By definition, you don't earn money from a side project. And you need a business model to make money from something. Usually side projects don't have a proper business model.

I never really tried DF, only read some tutorials about it. I have high expectations for this port, but at the same time, I'm worried that the learning curve will still make this game unpleasant to play because it takes too much time.

It's easier to blame individuals instead of blaming the system. We will just disagree from here, that's okay. I left a comment to give my point of view, not to get a lesson on life or some patronizing, coaching motivational advice
