I personally never found "programming" difficult, the difficult part is understanding large systems and finding the correct abstractions and most of all communicating these thoughts to other programmers. If programming starts to

I am still using a PC I built in 2012, that is over twelve years of daily use. Honestly for 90% of task I do I see no reason to really upgrade it, though I did put a newish GPU in it last year because the old one was failing. I feel like p

If the author hasn't heard of it surely nobody else has right, this from a paper that still writes breathlessly about the latest SNL episode that probably gets less views than the average semi-popular youtube channel get on a good day.

Probably the best answer I can think of is to just stop caring what people think (about your work/code), I know my work is never perfect (or even good) but I show up anyway. We are not defined by the code we write or the work we do bec

Yeah totally what worked best for me was leaving my phone in my trucks glovebox most the day, not having the phone even nearby seemed to make a big difference for me. I wasn't a huge phone user but even so the urge to just check if I

It only took a couple of weeks going without a phone for me to see a marked improvement on my outlook on life and the world, so to me the correlations between phones and mental health are pretty clear.

I have a number of fountain pens but the one I keep coming back to is the Pilot Kakuno, they are super cheap but they just feel so good in hand especially for sketching and drawing.

When you were a kid and coming up with fun creative stories or just playing creatively did you inject a level of authenticity and realism to that play? Probably not because you were just being your authentic self, unedited and unspoiled, h

I feel like there is a certain level of cynicism and/or irony in much of western media that is not as present in Asian shows (I think this is a big part of anime's popularity). Strangely while over acting and over dramatization i
