I can't edit my first comment again but I was talking about updating Safari in both operating systems. In OSX you are required to restart, in Windows you don't need to.

I find it odd I had to restart after upgrading a browser in OSX, reminds me of that old time. In Windows the upgrade went without a restart. Edit: Yes, talking about Safari only.

You need to be fairly technical to disable javascript. That or there's an administrator doing that for you (like in some company). So, besides companies which restrict javascript (very rare?) there's only those using noscript (very rare?).

It amazes me everytime that nobody made a better alternative for MySpace yet. They can't win because everything new they make is really crappy. Two recent examples: they are the place with more concert listings and still their new "I'm goin

Just adding: I believe the end date is a pro-consumer thing and for me it's really essential because I like to make good decisions and that offers me a possible deadline days away instead of now or never.

"Search helps, but to most people a website lives at name.com, maybe with a www in front. Our stats seem to reflect this: 60% direct traffic, only 20% search. 17% of those searches are ninite.com or www.ninite.com." I wonder if the ratio

Not smooth at all when you scroll. It plays nicely on iPhone 2G but scrolling and zooming make it hang for a while, I even made the animation stop somehow. I'm not sure this is the way to go...

I was just redesigning one of my sites and was thinking seriously about using Typekit. This makes me rethink my strategy and will probably be a hard hit on Typekit.

You seem to be reducing the amount of money going for advertising. Any special reason for this? Thanks for the awesomeness of sharing all this stuff!

I wrote about something similar but in smaller scale back in March and the apps I talked about were gone after a few days. I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of my text but might have been because I reported those apps as spam on the App Sto

Maybe you didn't understand what I said or I didn't explain myself properly but it's very rare for a government without a majority to not fall after some months/few years. I'm blaming it on the politicians who can't form a strong government

I find it ironic that the result of democracy (in the abstract sense: the diversity of opinion) is a non governable country. It kind of shows what type of people we have in politics: stubborn opiniative people who don't even know how to lis

I don't own an iPad so I can't test but Opera Mini for iPhone does keep the other tabs as I left them, no need for refreshing or to show some blank pages. It really improved my browsing experience on the iPhone.

I'm from Portugal. There's something important missing from the article which might be useful to explain why there were so many people using drugs in Portugal. Before 1975, the country was under a dictatorship and drug use was obviously low

Logos should be easier to copy and paste because people do that a lot. Think of a journalist writing an article about some site, if he needs a image he might use your logo. Also, Facebook uses images on the page when you post a link to iden
