Maybe Apple decided to not support those options on the iPad because it has a bigger screen and sites made for the viewport of the iPhone would look really bad on the iPad? Makes sense to me.

I've been trying this for a while and intend to write a nice post about tweaking friends' lists on Facebook. In summary, I created two lists: 1. One for people who "can see everything" (that's the name of the list actually) and that's where

I had the chance to see it at the theater on the release day long before all this parody videos were created. It's an amazing movie, the best featuring Hitler in my opinion. The theater was pretty crowded and lots of people cried during the

So what you want is Twitter to do exactly the same as the news feed of Facebook (which while it isn't perfect, it's the best social interaction framework I ever used).

That's it. If you (the common person TM) are on a shop and look at two laptops side by side, one with a matte screen and the other with a glossy screen, I'm pretty sure that person will be more pleased with the colors on the glossy one. The

It's a too complicated topic and that's why I stayed out of it. I try to believe reason is above everything else and when showed I'm wrong I just update my views on it. I'm not sure what should the church do but I know I'm fascinated by tho

I always disliked this kind of thinking. Let me begin by saying I'm agnostic so I'm not actually church-biased. The roman catholic church has rules and nobody is forced to follow those rules. If some people like to think they are roman cath

I tried it but it wasn't easy mostly because those clients are like every other client: they will try their best to get just-another-small-thing from you. So be prepared to deal with feature creep. For me it was also annoying that I couldn'

At 3:45 and until 4:25 everything is kinda suspect. It really looks like at least one guy is carrying a big weapon (could be an AK like they say or even some launcher) and by 4:09 one of them kneels at the end of the building with something

I would be more than happy with no multitasking at all with one exception: sms. And I'm pretty sure that if I include another two apps (safari and mail) on my exception list most people would be okay without multitasking. I don't need a win

Like I said, if nobody fell for it then it wouldn't work so, no, thinking it's immoral is not the same as blaming them.

I don't think I blamed the companies for it. I believe it's immoral to do it but it's up to the people to understand the situation and fight it by not following such practices.

I'll bite. I believe people who say "why can't they work for free if they want to?" aren't seeing the big picture. What's been happening in some areas (not IT), like people working on culture (museums mainly), is that the company will avoid

Well, I make logos myself and I only consider it done when I have a good logo at different sizes. I'd say a logo is only a good logo if it's scales to the size of a favicon or to something really big so you can use if on outdoors. It might

I've said this before and I'll keep saying it: every site needs a favicon! It's a shame something so simple to create isn't everywhere yet. One example - http://www.pulseapp.com/ - which is the only site on my bookmarks bar without a fav

Since those not using Chrome probably don't know about it, it's worth noting that Chrome updates itself whenever you start it. That explains the absurdly fast adoption rate of new versions.

I'd say all data has its value. If I were to compare their data to, say, Last.fm, I believe Last.fm's data is far more important/valuable for music trends. From Songkick, I think it would be interesting to understand if people buy tickets o

Not so be mean but Songkick is on a one year lowest on compete.com: http://siteanalytics.compete.com/songkick.com/ I believe the idea is nice but I'm not sure if anyone can survive referring ticket sales online.

I'm a faviconist claiming that every site needs a favicon. Very nice and simple idea, I've been working with some similar stuff and believe there's a bunch of work to do with what people say. Given that it's free what people say on Twitter,

It's not public in that way, i.e., people don't get notified you "unfriended" someone but you can show up in the "unfriended" person sugestions when you "unfriend" that person. If that person is also friend with some of your friends then it
