I'm not sure I agree with the prior that blog comments, twitter/facebook posts, youtube videos, messages left behind to other players in dark souls, etc are Speech and I'm curious to find any legal opinion about this.

I would put it more on the declarative side of things than functional or imperative. It does feel like a better fit to imperative programs though where execution is moving through the code as opposed to functional programming where expressi

Absolutely, my ideal would be for the canonical form in the codebase to just be the abstract token. It would have one or more possible names stored in the codebase. Then each developer would be able to choose the names they'd prefer to

I tend to dislike these sorts of ligatures because they obscure the underlying text that was typed. I would much prefer programming languages supported characters like "≠" or "≡" as aliases for operators.

What do you mean? Many lisps have these features, in fact lisps in general are well-regarded for their macro systems. I don't think any programming language can replace all other languages but of all options, I feel lisps which allow y

I love driving manuals, learned on an 5 speed New Beetle and mostly drive a 2012 Mazda 6 now. My partner has a newer automatic Mazda 3 and it just feels wrong to have the car guess what I want lagging behind me rather than me just telling t

Reality? That's an entirely useless definition for anything I've ever had to care about in my life. It's also logically nonsense before you even get to considering whether people who are infertile get to be "real".

I dislike the huge padding in the UI and the loss of transparency but more than that I'm annoyed that they removed things I used frequently like the separate wifi and mobile data toggles in the quick settings pulldown. Now it's an
