I have witnessed age discrimination throughout my career; I don't deny it exists or that it may have been a minor factor with anyone, but I don't buy it as the narrative for his story, or why things didn't work out for him at

Either way - does it seem like a clear cut case of age discrimination? The same thing happens to young people regularly. I see your point. Though I would say delegation doesn't always have to imply senior-junior reporting structure. Gi

This is a very vague accusation of "age discrimination" with basically nothing backing it up. Someone who was supposed to be in a senior position didn't know how to delegate and felt threatened when it happened. He decided to

On the landing page, is the image of sublime text supposed to be an animation? On mobile it’s just a picture of the text editor. I don’t see any picture of the product.

A dumb sounding thing happened, which wasn’t even a rumor, there were lots of pictures of it - so that means you should believe a lot of other non-credible stuff coming from people who passionately hate Musk? No that doesn’t follow.

I really would have liked a few more seasons too. I feel like they could have taken it to a whole different level as Pied Piper became FAANGP. But I’m also glad they didn’t jump any sharks and gave it a good wrap.

That LOC thing with Twitter is just a big rumor. There are a lot of dumb rumors about Twitter and Musk floating around. Don’t believe / repeat everything you hear.

I never minded Craig really. Yes they are all politicians though. At least Craig’s org has the real hardcore engineers. I assume the majority of this stuff falls under Eddie’s org. (Speaking of flashy personalities)

Yeah screw that. I typically loathe Apple criticism - it’s usually so confused and biased. But this makes me ask, as a former employee: Why is Apple loosing its way again? Is this what happens when Steve is gone for long enough? Get back to

It was a stupid thing for the article to say. Musk knows exactly who the current customer is, and he obviously wants to change it. The current customer is the ad buyer. It would be a lot better for the users if they were the customer (rathe

Right. That’s why 2 months paid salary is standard. With any severance on top. I've had this done a few times and I've witnessed it a few times. You guys were going around essentially saying "THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW!!!"

Yeah that’s about payroll, effectively. You revoke all access, and tell the employees their project is over. Pay salary until a termination date 60 days in the future. The termination is still “no cause”. At least in CA. And all duties are

Typically in a tech layoff you revoke all access, 2 months paid salary, and effectively say “your project is complete, termination date 2 months from now”. That’s compliant and it happens all the time in CA. You’re making the claim they are

CA is an “at will” employment state. Employees or employers may terminate with no cause and zero notice. Simultaneous terminations are not exempt. That’s a fact, friend.

Nope. Not in California. Employment contracts with a CA entity are “at will” / can be terminated with no cause and no notice. Which is how it should be IMO. Anyway just google “ca at will employment” and you can learn about how you are
