OP’s post was “ Aggressively small teams, with no hands-off middle-management layer”. 6-8 swe teams + hands off people manager reporting to middle manager, who reports to director, is how Amazon organizes teams, therefore it isn’t an exampl

I’m also working on a similar “add conversations to any page” project, but trying it with a forum-style angle + browser plugin: https://threaded.live (sorry for the shameless plug and the silly landing page, it’s just an attempt

Amazon is very well known for having A LOT of middle managers too, so I'm not sure it's a good example?

Is there any example where this works (articles, presentations, etc)? In particular, anywhere with more than a couple dozen developers?

This is incredible! If you have a couple of minutes, would you mind sharing some of the Mac tool recommendations? I'm not blind, but as someone working on consumer apps, good examples really help!

A bit of a sidenote, but I’d feel a bit anxious traveling on an airplane made by a company called “BOOM”. A bit like driving a “Crash Vehicles” car?

I got a pair of Pros as soon as they came out. The fit was weird (maybe I got used to regular Airpods), but what made me return them is I ALWAYS got nausea after a few minutes with the noise cancelling turned on. It’s anecdotal of course, b

If untreated, the fatality rate goes up. I imagine OPs figure is assuming widespread contagion and the average 20% hospitalization needed, which would translate to A LOT more dead people. We won’t know the actual death rate after the fact,

There’s evidence the lockdowns are actually REDUCING other deaths, such as from car accidents, air pollution or violent crimes: https://thehill.com/changing-america/resilience/smart-cities... https://ne

How do/could you quantify the benefits of this culture? I frequently manage groups of “move fast & break things” folks, and RFCs/design docs/etc are a very hard sell (in particular when teams are fully local)

This is NOT a common occurrence. Even if it was, white male American isn’t a protected category, so that would very unlikely be characterized as “discrimination”. AND we’d have “several large companies” with actual representation of minorit
