I studied welding and metal fabrication part time to get my certification. It was a great time. Apart from the physical skills of manipulating metal I really enjoyed the technical drawing aspect. It involved a lot of geometry and visualizin

It's the latest in hipster travel modes. Riding a penny farthing is too tame.... Unless you're skitching off the bumper of a robo-Uber.

If you are referring to Barangaroo, I beg to differ. Throwing hotel, casino and residential towers on public land isn't about serving the wider community. http://www.smh.com.au/comment/barangaroo-is-more-insult-tha

I think they just broke stuff. I am talking about harvesting for resources to construct my slum on top of the junkyard of robot parts. It's not going to cause a problem. The uber robot can auto-claim on its robo-insurance which is les

I'm visualizing a future world where a million more homeless people are truck-hopping rather than train-hopping. You summon a delivery robo-truck by stealing all the goods off a shop shelf. It's a bit like calling for a sand worm

What do you mean by "might be"? I thought the point of all this is to have open-source implementations for people to use in their SoCs.

Sorry I am just basing this off what I can find. I don't see AXI mentioned in the SiFive docs when I skim through.

SystemC tends to be used in prototyping more so than verification for projects I have seen. Can possibly be used to make the system emulator also I think. My SoC verification projects have been SystemVerilog only so I am not that familiar w

However, if I put my business hat on and am preparing to bid on a project, I find myself without a strong argument for favoring RISC-V instead of ARM or MIPS. I think I agree with you on that. It is still early days for RISC-V and

Cleaning parks and repairing roads will be done via park cleaning and road repairing robots unfortunately. The jobs have to be something that can't be automated yet still meaningful. My suggestion is make new jobs in politics. More rob

You don't know what a Bulbasaur is? Maybe look it up on Wikipedia because as has been mentioned here already there IS an article on Bulbasaur! It is not a stub either. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulbasaur Wikip

Lentils sprouts can grow in a bowl. No electricity needed. I have grown a few batches over the past week or so. Tastes pretty good. https://sproutpeople.org/growing-green-lentil-sprouts/

My joke solution is everyone tries to get into politics as a profession. You can't automate politics. It will either achieve UBI or create a hell on earth.

I think it is true that the less experienced engineers start in verification however the verification role is actually quite difficult. It is much more than feeding tools and math. You only do that during the execution phase. That can be as

A parent telling their child they had a shitty performance is not supportive or positive. A negative attitude coming from the parent can really upset the child and they won't learn anything from it. As a coach I can't tell a paren

Parents can raise them but the coach is the coach. I don't allow parents to do the "tiger mode" criticism on the sidelines because it is not objective. The parents have emotional investment in winning.
