I find Tiles easier to locate in a room. I think the lower quality sound or frequencies used are easier to locate - especially if under something.

The Hakko felt like a super power when I got it. One of those tools that does one thing really well. Needs a good clean quite often but I felt like it paid for itself pretty quickly.

I did setup the question in a way that the developer doesn’t harm someone themselves but sells it to a state actor. I.e extremely similar outcome to finding a zero day and selling it to a state actor except it is “more” secure - need privat

Is there anything actually illegal here? Like is it a plausible “business” model for talented and morally compromised developers to do this and then sell the private key to state actors without actually breaking in themselves or allowing an

Hydrogen and helium on earth would be 13.7 billion years old but many of the other atoms on earth are more like 4.6 billion years old.

Yes. Onshape is web based. Every change is tracked and can be rolled back. There are versions and branches. Multiple people can work on the same document. The equivalent of a git comment would be a version with a comment.

I don’t think the no source control is fundamentally the issue. Change control is the issue. Eg in CAD I quite like onshape’s “Versions and History”.

Never seems too strong here. In 2000 years when it has been maybe 1500 years since a human turned a steering wheel I can see a situation where an individual owns a self driving car like thing. Even well before some such future, the type of

I don’t just show the emails but I 1. draw arrows on the screenshots 2. Upload audit log showing usage 3. Write a short summary that states they intend to continue using the product (ie there will be future transactions)

The point is that it is a protest. By emailing bigcorp’s legal team will waste a small amount of their time. Especially if it “sincerely” thanks them for accepting your altered terms of service and shares some screenshots of the 200 respons

As a protest, I’ve considered creating a browser plugin that takes the TOS and removes arbitration clause, e-signs it and PDFs it. Then posts it to the “agree” endpoint in addition to other form attributes and emails a copy to legal@BigCo.

I use Waymos in SF. For every Waymo trip I do maybe 8 e-bike trips and 20 walking commutes. I’ve taken Waymos to BART stations. Waymo has just replaced Uber for trips in SF for me. It would be nice if the city added more BART coverage but i

I’ve taken 60+ Waymo trips in SF and much prefer them over Uber. There are rough edges but I love playing music I like, the smooth and consistent driving, the same model car each time. I’m an early adopter kind of person and can live with t

I also have a maxed out Mac Studio when I need the extra cores and don’t need the portability. But I haven’t looked into hackintosh options for a long time. Perhaps I’ll check it out again some time. Thanks for the tip.

As a non-American, I think watching season 4 of The Wire, which has an education and politics focus, was both eye opening and profound. Highlighted the profound gap between US and where I grew up on a number of issues.

My prediction. Startups with lines of credit / venture debt won’t be able to move all money out under terms of those deals and will be the bag holders when bank run takes SVB to zero by Tuesday next week.
