> These numbers grew as “dogfooding” population makeup became politically fraught As someone who doesn't know what's going on at Google, can you elaborate on that? I know what dogfooding is, but what does the rest mean?

I don't think there is any "purpose" to the ecosystem, it just exists as it does. But previously that ecosystem was suitable for what became human life, which is why we exist in it, and obviously it's very bad for us if

Yeah, I meant more the general principle. I can absolutely believe that in the details, EVs are on par or maybe even surpass ICE's complexity. But "electric motor turns axle" is, at its surface level, and much more boring pri

I don't think one potential defect/quality/manufacturing issue in a particular model invalidates an entire platform.

Let me make clear actually: I really think EVs are much more boring. To drive and to study. A part of my mind is sad that they are a dead end. But me nerding out about their engineering is not worth keeping them.

You're downvoted, but I agree with you. EVs are so much more boring than the highly evolved, intricate design of ICEs. I marvel at the general principle, at what engineers continuously came up with to squeeze ever more out of them, eve

I am curious how you arrived to "fake" as conclusion where there is absolutely no sign or reason for faking anything. I think that it is obvious, to casual observers as well, that this is a modern day photographer using vintage

I want an electric car, but I'm looking at other makes. It's true that Tesla has a pretty good drive train, but that's by far not the only thing that matters in a car. I salute them for their pioneering of the technology, sad

That's a reasonable perspective, but as someone with no stakes in it I would hope that Google prioritizes its users first and foremost. Note that: * I am not saying that these interests are mutually exclusive. * I am also not asserting

Most people I know don't, and a lot of them still do pretty well for themselves, so... to those wo do: Keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better I guess, but don't pretend that it's universal for justification.

The CPUs are designed and made by Apple, the ISA is licensed from ARM. Those are not like ARM Cortex CPUs that are actually designed by ARM.
