Well that seems to substantially ease restrictions on space photography. I assume the project is in response to the rule change that allows US satellite imagers to be approved if commercial images are available of the same type from another

Many games have a console-like experience where it just works, no settings, just go into the game. The resolution, and all other settings will have been preselected for best experience on the deck. Steam exposes that in the UI with a "

PMs seem to be responsible for dates and budgets, but in what way is an Architect held responsible for business value?

You can expect all you want. Without an OODA loop, it's just religion.

On balance, the role might be net-negative. Like PMs. There are _good people_ doing _hard jobs_, at most orgs. However, a role where you're not responsible for the systems you create is one where the feedback loops are too large to add

This rings true to me. "Architects" are more often than not, an antipattern. We never call an Architect when there's a P1.

I see no reason this should not be the case. That is the starting wage in my Dallas area school district.

It's a miserable experience ordering from a kiosk in any case. If they can't afford to pay a worker to man the register, I'll move on.

Maybe in your jurisdiction, not in mine. I have the same master bedroom setup, and it shows up in my country records.

Is that true? I know the European-market cars all have an immobilizer due to regulation. I can't find evidence whether the South Korean market cars do or do not.

I prefer this workflow too. Only issue is if we move to a different ticket tracking software.

Right the MBA thing is where you generally worsen things in search of quarterly improvement. "Yes we're making some money, but we could be making more money."

Tim argues that Amazon should spin off AWS, or perhaps he's arguing for government intervention to that effect. What do we think would happen to the retail Amazon if it did not have the giant profit-center of AWS? Presumably it would c

Yes we see this increasingly. Corpos would term this "self service", but it's outsourcing the workload onto the customers. As long as the customer's frustrations with that don't exceed the cost of the labor being sa

I tend to think that was a misplay on the part of the original author. If they had notified the 1647 users that their machines would be wiped a month in advance, then a bottom up pressure to get it resolved would have occurred. Few folks ar
