Excuse me, but is it not the lawmakers that are corrupt? They are the ones buying their argument (or taking their cash/benefits) and creating moats (regulatory capture and what not) for them.

The only option after abdicating your dictatorship (if that's what he'd do after telling the truth), is to flee the country. If you stay, you'll be killed.

Yep! It's a good read. Highly recommend it. It has a follow up called Freedom(TM). Both books by Daniel Suarez.

It sure is a great edition. It's available in multiple languages as well, such as: Spanish, Swedish, Portuguese, Italian. I'd also recommend http://tuttletwins.com/law/ - which is available in all of the abov

That said, even single-payer systems as the ones in Western Europe can have this exact same problem. Like when Region Stockholm / Stockholm County (Responsible for Health Care and Public Transport) in Sweden bought supplies like suppor

I've taken a long hard look at myself and I share oldmanjay's sentiments. You have other beliefs and other priorities, that's fine with me.

I would say that this was the perfect piece to be published on that exact day. I do fear that the tone of the article is too smug, even for "smug liberals" and that it might have been passed by plenty of people - especially the us

If you meant crony capitalism, sure. Then you'll use enough old boy tactics to ban your competition or give you a state-enforced monopoly or deal (effectively skewing the market in your favor and against your competition).

It's not valid, if you have not entered such an agreement. Hence my previous comment.

What makes you forced to agree to them in the first place? If a service has a terrible EULA - do not use it and do not accept their end user agreement. (By the way, I'm basically telling you to "discriminate based on EULAs".)

Could you elaborate on that? Isn't the power of government based on how many it "governs" and how many ("governed", "voters", "taxpayers") it controls?

That's great, thanks for elaborating - I had missed checking out what "Test Pilot" actually was. That said, what will happen to Page Shot if it's deemed a good/decent UX and it's graduation time? Will it be an

Will "Page Shot" be a removable addon or would it be forced upon us like the Pocket integration was at first?

There seems to be plenty here that like the idea of lowering the Value Add Tax on repairs. Let me ask: Why stop at 12.5% VAT for repairs? If you'd go all the way down to 0% - the repairs could potentially be up to 25% cheaper than they

I'd seriously be fine with that. I would not mind giving up all social services, especially not if I got a cashback. That said, I would expect this to come with 'no taxation in the future' as well. That said, I am not everybo
