I specifically stated “a business with no inventory and whose sole purpose is to be a marketing middleman between people offering a service and those in need of a service.” Restaurants, hotels, and bars provide services directly and are not

This pandemic is really shining light on many flimsy and questionable business models. In good times, it looks great on paper to own a business with no inventory and whose sole purpose is to be a marketing middleman between people offering

Total attendance for 2019 was 417,400: https://explore.sxsw.com/hubfs/2019-SXSW-Event-Stats.pdf (PDF) I do think these stats may double-count some people, but there's no doubt it's a gigantic conference. It&#

We run repair shops, so I get to hear all sorts of feedback about Android phones from customers. The Pixel 3A is definitely the most popular and budget-friendly "clean Android" phone out there right now. Pixel 4 is out as well now

I'm definitely in the minority here, but I cancelled my Spotify subscription in favor of SiriusXM. There were a couple changes they've made recently that made this make sense. One, all their car subscriptions now come with an app

There's a documentary (free on Amazon Prime) called "Fasting" that touches on this same hypothesis. Basically, our bodies are wired to eat late morning to early evening. Calories consumed outside of those hours are much more

No one knows for sure. However, Reuters says: "The program will allow independent stores to set their own prices for repairs and also offer cheaper aftermarket parts." https://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-

No one knows for sure at this point...by reading this press release, you have as much information as we do. It's our hope that we can do that, but if people come in and pick the Apple screen, we'd like to make as much margin as we

We run 7 independent repair shops, so on its face this is great news for us. I did sign us up for this program, and we are beginning the process today of getting at least 1-2 people at all of our locations to be certified. There is lots of

There are plenty of 2% cash back credit cards (just Google the term and you'll find plenty of places blogging about them.) I have the Alliant 3% cash back card--it's 3% for the entire first year on every purchase.

The Coworking Visa already allows this: http://coworking.com/visa As an added benefit, it's run by some of the people who were originally behind coworking, before WeWork came onto the scene.

I had Aerons for years, and finally got rid of my last one for an Embody. I definitely think the Embody is an upgrade from an Aeron. At least for me, the mesh was uncomfortable and I prefer the fabric of the Embody. I also really like the f

Owning repair shops, I have heard all the reasons people buy bigger phones. The #1 reason people buy a bigger phone is the better camera. They don't necessarily want a larger phone , but they definitely want that camera to take better

I set a limit $50 because they didn’t announce a price as far as I could tell, and I knew I was going to be working today and couldn’t pay attention. It did cost me some because I could have bought more shares had I set a lower limit, but I

Awful, honestly. The last set we ran on Facebook cost us $40 per booked appointment...not even break-even for us. We are working on video ads for pre-roll YouTube, etc., but it takes $ for tools (like cameras) and production. On Google, we

I’m not sure where you’re looking, but the XPS 15 starts at $1000. Of course, you’re not going to want that hybrid drive. Dell also has an upcoming Memorial Day sale where they will discount certain models, and the new XPS 15 is due out nex

Just do what Apple would do and replace the entire top case. They typically run $30-$50 on eBay for older MBPs. That and a SSD upgrade (if you haven’t done that already) and you will have a functional backup computer again.
