It has nothing to do with elixir and everything to do with you spending time on a rewrite instead of adding new stuff.

"As a cyclist and a driver I feel the one driving the killing machine is always at fault." I dont see a lot of ambiguity here.

Cyclists need to follow the rules. If a cyclist starts buffooning on the road and ends up in an accident I have no problem saying that they were looking for it.

Honest question: do you think this opening line adds to the thesis of the article? It looks like a totally useless throw away line, a weird unrelated "zinger ".

Opening sentence is idiotic. It brings nothing to discuss the subject at hand.

First paragraph we're introduced to Randall, the Twitter employee but we don't know his job there. However we hear everything about how his girlfriend is an OF model. WTF is going on here?

I don't know, they have a service online to order replacements for lost or broken pieces for free. I use it 2 or 3 times a year, they never question it and just ship the pieces.

Good for you. That's a data set of 1. I based that on empirical observation of my kids' friends. They don't make up stories, they just replay the star wars or Harry Potter movies. So I don't know, a dozen kids or so. I h

The new sets are more complex and detailed, but god do I hate the franchised sets. Nothing kills kids creativity more than that. It's not a pirate ship, it is Jack Sparrow's pirate ship. It's not a spaceship, it's L

You completely missed my point. I could have replaced "stalking" with "murder" or "fraud" or anything. If people are not able to have a principled stance on right or wrong without calibrating their response ba

Makes no sense to me. It seems totally possible to me to love movies without enjoying wasting 2h watching a poorly made film.

What an absurd position. Comparing things helps calibrate the response. You compare situations to others you've experienced in the past to come up with an appropriate reaction. What's the intent of SWATing? It is attempted murder.

Sociopaths cannot be cured. SWATing is literally equivalent to shooting at someone with the intention to kill. Until there is serious consequences for people who do it, it won't stop.

DHH is just using the Bloomberg article, he didn't make up the numbers. Where do you see that a white person retiring and a white person being hired cancel each other out? Yes, low level jobs contribute a lot to the final number, but t
