Direct Debit in the UK does this. You can cancel any instruction at any time, usually through your online banking where all instructions and charges are listed. It is widespread and the norm for subscriptions.

A few years ago I was debating with a colleague on the de/merits of checked exceptions. I was pro, but after reading through these gems about why Microsoft didn't put them into c# I changed my mind: http://blogs.msdn.co

Great idea. It's a shame Netflix isn't a part of the TankTop core service... their loss as this app may help people decide to switch away: cheeky! :) Ex-Lovefilm customer, now with Netflix but unfortunately I don't share with

An engineer reinventing the wheel, other than an intellectual exercise, can be a symptom of them being bored with their work or not feeling ownership of the company mission. Building something from scratch exactly how you want to is stimula

Spot on. There's no doubt as a candidate you need to be comparable but you differentiating yourself is a multiplier. I applied for a marketing job at a fire safety firm. I'd never worked under a marketing job title (business devel

As a customer of the Campus location I love the simplicity of paying with Tab. From my perspective this plus the 10% bonus when topping up over £10 is nearly there... if only these guys could've survived long enough to make this viable

Nice idea, much like Soundrop (initially just a Spotify app but I see they have a web app now). I was an avid user of Soundrop when it first came out. Why I've stopped using Soundrop is that most folk, myself included, just go into th

I worked as a business development guy on a major contracts team. So my usual role was finding £100k+ contracts and negotiating the tender process. I'd regularly get bonuses when the deal was closed. However I really was a coder. I pro

Erm... I hate to say this about an Economist article but it seems to be hot air: completely ignoring conversion attribution. The headline numbers are aggregate revenue from ad spend. I'm intrigued about the 'lumpy behaviour'

What's the purpose of getting someone to read your blog post? Rarely is it just that. You'll want them to share/comment/subscribe/sign up for a trial/dive into finding out more about your product/buy. Doing these things will cause them not
