That's right although you could take a synchronous function and wrap it with sync_to_async() and it would work. But I'm not sure about the performance implications of that. https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/4.

You're almost certainly referring to Harry Enfield based on the date you graduated and a quick Google!

Very cool. Slightly reminds me of an app I made for fun a few years ago that created a visual diary of your location history over the past 48 hours by pairing it with Google Streetview imagery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?

Interesting idea. You should send this to the Podnews newsletter - I'm sure they would feature it.

Don't do this! Sleep tracking/optimisation and generally obsessing over sleep can trigger insomnia for a lot of people. I've had chronic insomnia for two years and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. If your sleep is

I looked for a simple solution to this recently and I couldn't find one. It would be great if implicit SQL queries that occur as a result of missing out either select_related() or prefetch_related() would generate a console warning

This is pretty much in line with what I observed a few days ago when my post[1] reached the top of the front page here. Google Analytics reports 10k uniques vs. 35k in Netlify's server-side analytics. [1] https://news.ycombi
