Very true, please count me as one of your satisfied customers. In a different comment, I did say Spreedly would be a great fit for those who just want a straight forward recurring billing solution, without deep API integration and other fea

Just a note that Recurly did this exact same thing several months ago, though they've since changed their prices again. We were literally 1 day away from launching on Recurly when they changed prices. Spooked by the sudden price hike, we sp

It's not so much as the money that's upsetting, as much as the broken trust when prices are adjusted upwards so dramatically. For example, our monthly prices will go from 0 to $99/month. You can say that may be a good thing, forcing us to f

Last time I looked, Spreedly's API and functionality wasn't even in the same ballpark as Chargify's. I've worked on integration projects with both, and Chargify is much better and more configurable. Spreedly may have improved, it's been a w

You're making some very strong comments against KIPP, which I think (after watching a documentary on it) puts you directly at odds with the KIPP administrators who have years of data and research to back up their work. You say they're missi

I think you left out the most important thing - a BHAG focuses money. It's a giant bet. SCO's BHAG is the lawsuit, Netscape's BHAG was the browser, Pets.com's BHAG was serving every pet - all bets that didn't pay off.

Why would you say most businesses wouldn't? I'd think most business would do something to help a loyal customer stay loyal. I agree with you that it's absolutely good business practice to help customers recover from their own mistakes. On m

I doubt anyone would want to say publicly that they've had a bad experience with YC, constructive to the rest of us as it may be. It's just not worth burning that bridge. It's probably a good general rule of thumb to never say anything publ

I think his point in that example was that articles that seek to glorify something that supports human trafficking, sex slavery, and forced rape - all of which millions are currently victims - should be based on more than conjecture and ass

I don't think anything is stopping you from using IM/irc/chat. The problem that video screenings solve isn't one that you face. For example, Thunderbird School of Global Management, a top international MBA program, is planning on using Acti

This is almost a thing you have to see to believe. Video just gives you so much more resolution and insight. Social science studies have told us many times that 90% of communication is non-verbal - audio only captures that 10%. Of course,

I thought the exact thing. Traffic in China reminds me of a school of fish - cars wiggle and dash in front of one another with total disregard for lanes.

The Chinese government is extremely sensitive to two things: 1) saving face and 2) maintaining control What I'm saying is - you can affect change without violating those two things.

First, I don't think there's a pent up demand to overthrow the Chinese government. There are disgruntled factions here and there (China is a very economically uneven country, unlike the US), but overall, people feel their lives are improvin
