Fascinating, I was able to find some references to Greece around 200kya, but not much around the Levant. Very neat, turns a lot of previous evidence on its head.

In the early 2000's my anthropology courses at a large US university presented 13kya as basically certain and that maybe up to 27kya but that the evidence was pretty early. Perhaps there was more pushback in archeology?

I think it'd be roughly an hour between Portland and Seattle, so a daily commute would be within the realm of possibility. But I think what they mean is say Tacoma or Olympia to Seattle.

If my recollection serves, you're unable to absorb vitamin C efficiently enough to reach serum levels found to be effective, so the treatment protocol was for vitamin C infusions.

I've read that a decent driver here has been home insurance lawsuits. Florida accounts for 79% of all home insurance lawsuits, my eyes bulged when I read that. https://news.fiu.edu/2022/the-big-reason-florida-insur

I believe the answer is war. If there is a class of folks outside of "the inventor" that you can risk on an experimental aircraft, it's soldiers. WW1 happened very quickly after the invention of the plane and there was a huge

A framing I often use is, "Data is like holding uranium". It can be incredibly valuable, but also very dangerous. You should be very sure that the data you're holding is worth the cost of safely protecting it (a high cost), a

Right...but the talk of this thread, and the article, is whether the Fed interest rate can be relevant to "consumer felt" inflation. Nobody over the last couple of years has been complaining that the cost per share of Twilio is to

What is interesting to me is that many here cling to complication. Straight from the horses mouth in front of Congress, Powell minced no words on whether The Fed's interest rate hikes would tackle CPI inflation for consumers[1]. Powell

I'd be curious if Manjaro is seeing an uptick in web traffic from confusion with Mounjaro (a next generation medicine similar to Wegovy/Ozempic). If so, maybe they should set up a referral link to direct folks to the right place a

Well...my prediction was off just a bit[1]. Waymo and Uber are partnering, not Cruise buying Lyft. imo the thesis is the same though, I would expect to see Cruise and Lyft partner and/or similar sometime in the near future. [1] https:
