I think they are. I havn't explored this yet but from what I've seen there is no competition or extra bonus for modeling a building. I think it could be really successful if it was turned into some sort of game.

I use PTHPasteboard on OS X (equivalent to Ditto). The principle is to be able to keep more than one item in your clipboard, you can retrieve older ones with a keyboard shortcut. This should be implemented in every OS by default.

I had one of these too. I had to UPDATE a line of a few customers order's logs on a production server. The database was huge (several million lines). After a few seconds I thought it was taking too much time only to realise I forgot one AND

These are also shortcuts to the Speed Dial websites of Opera 10 and allow to switch tabs under Google Chrome. I'm not sure they are appropriate for a web app.

When I first learned how to use SVN I found the Subversion book (this one : http://svnbook.red-bean.com/ ) very confusing. I think it goes in too many details early on. If I had to do it all over again I would try to find the very basic fu

I had the same idea ! Hunch.com inspired me for a website like that. It could be really useful to solve basic car troubles or anything technical.

Same here, there is no stable version of 1Password yet for Snow Leopard. It's the first time I don't feel in a hurry to upgrade, I mean snapiness is great but if it's in the same range as the 10.5.x upgrades, it can wait. I havn't heard any

I'm surprised too by the manual process described in the article. I wonder why it itsn't more automated, they could photograph the disc to see if it matches the sleeve for example. It seems like a terrible job to manually check the discs.

I was expecting a less painful way to try FogBugz. I wanted to get a feeling of the app but filling a form with loads of inputs is definitly not what I want to undergo before a quick overview. Some access to the real interface one or two cl

I would say "Tools" is important to access the download manager and the addons (preferences...), they would justify a prominent "Tools" button.

Nice nice, they removed the menu bar, it's a great thing (for the screen estate freaks like me). I'm not sure how well it's received by the non technical people, Microsoft already did that with IE7 but I haven't read anything revelent about

In short, Wang says, the browser needs to act more like Windows does Please don't ! Considering the time it took them to have a somewhat secure Windows, considering the poor usability of their security features : this would be a disaster.

The cut-and-paste thing is really a basic feature for me and I think it was working in Mac Os 8+, we already have a copy-and-paste. I can't understand why they couldn't implement the cut-and-paste. I don't understand how you can't miss it,

Thanks I'll have a look at Path Finder but I'm always reluctant to add any apps interfering with the Finder. I've already tried a few freebies to maximize the windows (Stoplight...), none of them would work at 100%.

Things I wish could be fixed with 10.6 - Cut and paste a file (no you can't with the finder) - Maximize the windows - This annoying audio "pop" I can hear when my Macbook's line out is connected to a hifi system and no sound is playing.
