Not only the economic costs, but also the human lives lost with the "fight against drugs". Thousands of people have been killed in this fight. It has also led to perverse politics such as rewarding military officers based on how m

If you're using Windows, you can download the portable version that shows a small overlay in the screen. MacOS comes with a builtin keyboard viewer. I don't think grinding is a good approach, you need to learn it and make it part

If you're looking for keyboards, you may also be interested in keyboard layouts. I've been using Colemak for 5 years now, and I recommend everyone to try it out. https://colemak.com/

Reminded me of those stories of war people taking drugs because the environment triggered the desire in them. If being outside was the trigger, staying inside would make it easy to quit. On the other hand, going outside again would trigger

I've been using the Leechblock extension on Firefox. It lets you set browsing quotas per website. It has been good for reducing time wasting habits.

I've always felt that having "private" fields by default (thereby suggesing it is the right way to code), making all code live inside classes, and thinking everything as an object, are dogmatic assumptions that make you write

I have been using Godot since recently and I sincerely think that Godot has one of the finest programming experiences, not only for games, but for any kind of visual programming. It is easy and has a flexibility that is unmatched, and some

If you are into opengl guis, you can check ImGui, it is a joy to work with it. although it doesn't have any fancy font stuff afaik. Also there is UE4 slate, which has a funny way of doing stuff.

I would make a distinction between typography and font rendering. MS has some nice type faces, made with a lot of love and care. But after reading this http://www.antigrain.com/research/font_rasterization/index.h..
