I live in Sweden. We have OK-ish animal welfare laws. Even here free-range means very very little. I use to think of it in numbers of a4 sheets of paper per hen. In a battery cage they have almost one. In fee range systems they have almost

I am the principal bassoon player of a moderately large (82 musicians) orchestra. AMA I guess. With regards to HR, I think finding a HR person that understands how an orchestra works will be prohibitively hard. We have the (assistant) orche

Had I liked linear switches, I would have jumped on the opportunity to use one of the new variable-depth linear, contactless switches (like wooting, steelseries or even razer). I tried the wooting lekker edition and the experience was like

I am in the light-yet-tactile camp. I hate cherry switches. Mx browns feels like rough linears, Mx blue are probably my least favourite clicky switches. I find Matias keyboards fantastic, yet their tactile switches have awful quality issues

Probably. I don't have ten of these machines, so it is hard to make a general statement. I mostly meant it as a comment on what the parent said; I could pay four times the price for something and have it last 35 years (which is 15x lon

Isn't keto associated with higher mortality? I do a review of studies once in a while for private enjoyment, and most studies seem to report a higher mortality for low-carb diets. When they don't the studies are usually epidemiolo

Just adding to this: the attack surface of a web browser is humongous compared to that of a relatively small runtime, even in 2008. In 2011 when I had a look through the FF codebase, there were already 2 JITs for JavaScript, one which had b
