It's true. I have kept giving Firefox another chance over time but haven't been convinced. Recently, I tried Firefox again on Windows. And the experience is amazing indeed - faster, smoother, and with trackers blocking, very pleas

No PWAs, no proper service workers, no native lazyload, no WebP, always lagging behind with more buggy implementation of almost everything. Can't blame people who call it the new IE6/8.

I agree, this doesn't sound "everyone": https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/the_basics/full... Apple music is available in another 59 countries that Spotify is not.

This is very cool. One feature I'd like is the market share report that caniuse has for each listing. I currently rely on https://emailclientmarketshare.com/ (by Litmus) for this but if someone's aware of a better

If you're a tab hoarder, Chrome does seem to have gotten worse in the last year. Usually the GPU process. Even if your tabs are all inactive, killed by something like Great Discarder, the GPU process continues to use a lot of RAM (2GB

It's just sad that enormous amount of developer resources are being wasted into a tech which should have been used for the standard web instead. It's not just the developer hours put into the AMP project itself. Thanks to all the

For all the bashing GitLab gets, personally, I want GitLab to survive and keep competing at some level with GitHub. Should GitHub dominate the market and gobble up competition, we all know how it goes for its parent company.

The most it resembles is the San Francisco font (Apple's default system font) which itself was inspired from Helvetica and DIN. Personally I liked this font much better than the other opensource alternatives, especially with the number

There's bias for good looks. And cosmetic/health industry spends billions of dollars on marketing to re-enforce and further strengthen the bias. So is it any surprise people would want to game it to get a better chance of success.

Except for trackpad and a decent MacOS, nothing really. Low quality hardware, increasingly subpar battery life on newer MBPs, battery swellings too common. The hardware issues are common, but PR damage control teams, stakeholders, and fans

Maybe relatively, but not really. Wouldn't call a device with poor thermals, and a throttling device "great". Nor do the constantly swelling low quality batteries make it great.

Which is really odd that I have never experienced or seen it in the older laptops. Perhaps it's a fairly new thing in the increasingly common thin form factor (Apple or otherwise but I haven't heard much of others).

That's uncalled for. No need to blame the victim. A laptop going into flames is generally a manufacturer's fault. If one were to damage the machine through fault of their own, they wouldn't demand a replacement.

I believe with the recent recall, Apple's doing the bare minimum in a PR damage control. A lot more batteries have to be affected than they're letting in. My MBP mid-2015 has swollen batteries twice in 3.5 years. Now I have to pay

I was expecting ~$250 from what I had read on internet. But I suppose it's the same in places where there's no official Apple presence - we have these 3rd party "authorized service providers". Or perhaps it's someth

I have a MacBook Pro Mid-2015, bought in 2015 and had (a) swollen battery (b) green pixel on screen (c) bad sectors on SSD, in early 2017 - that's just 1.5 years. Got everything replaced after under Apple Care in late 2017 as they woul

There are several type of people of course and there's no correct answer. And for good personal reasons usually. A lot of asocial introverts are likely to have an issue with open plan offices but might do just fine in a private office
