Totally agree, except for his point three - beginners typically don't care about exercises, they want to get something working. As long as it works and does what they want, they're happy.

Most of what this article claims about diet is not supported by the evidence. Typically vegans/vegetarians care a lot more about their diet, and will eat less of other things, like refined sugar and flour -- also linked to heart disease,

Physical property has nothing to do with it. If I buy an mp3 and distribute copies of it, how is that different to ripping it from a CD?

A large number of people are still willing to pay for music. How many people would be willing to pay you for a photocopy of a $1 bill? I understand the argument that you and this site are trying to make, but it's fundamentally flawed. Ultim

It's not hard at all. You don't need to recompile with LESS - just have a separate style sheet which overrides the default bootstrap one in selected areas.

What are the odds that there's a similar bug which allows changes to user accounts? If that's the case, then altering the password or email address is trivial.

You can get your code out, but what about all of the rest of your data? Wiki, issues, pull requests, etc. Update: Apparently it's doable with some API magic, but you still have to handroll your exporter: http://www.lornajane.net/posts/2011

People post links to their blogs all the time, so I doubt it's that. From looking at his history, it seems to be this post which caused the ban: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3555622 No idea why - it's inflammatory, but hardly worth

He's not ignorant or lying - you just need to look at Irgun's activities in the '30s and '40s to know that. Those guys were bombing a bus practically every day at some points ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Irgun_attacks_during_th...

I would disagree with that fairly strongly. While there are other choices for specific niches, for most web development Django is the first thing that most Python developers will look at, mainly due to it's user base and libraries.
