IMHO Leaflet/OSM dev experience is so much better than Google maps - really glad to have this option.

Some even assert the anatomy of men and women are different! Even successful people can harbor such ideas. Hard to overcome. A public confession of thoughcrime is an important first step, combined with consequences of some sort.

I've heard some rumblings about adding GraphQL as a feature to Elixir / Phoenix. Anyone know more about this?

I hope all this attention on emissions and cheating helps to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.

I was curious if a HN reader could make an anti-drug argument, and you have written a nice one. I've lost a lot of friends and family to drugs and alcohol - unfathomable damage. My best friend is using a lot of speed right now - I wor

The undertone I hear a lot is that drug use is beneficial, and would have positive effects on the population at large were it not for the outdated taboos of a backwards culture. If society was more rational and embraced drug use, then peopl

What is the lesson to be learned? Is drug use correlated with high-performance? "People felt like they always wanted to: splendid, completely calm, clearheaded; it was a golden feeling." That sounds good! I'd like that...

Perhaps the lesson of Finland is that mono-culturalism achieves better educational outcomes than multi-culturalism. Maybe it is easier if stakeholders have high levels of trust, and similar performance expectations, work ethic, language ski

I believe that Big Media is too powerful - unfairly promotes the interests of the establishment at the expense of the middle class.

Majority of the programmers I work with in the valley are Indians and Asians. It's been that way for years. I'd venture a bet that my silicon valley co-workers are much more diverse than the NY Times writers who love to preach ab

As an venture investor, I would prefer my startup CEO's to be nice. Easier to manipulate nice. As an entrepreneur, I've seen many situations where investors dump the founder, all nice and reasonable while they stick the knife.

Normal citizens do not have the ability to perform data-fusion like Google or a Government Agency. Services like Sunroof give just a tiny window into what they know about you. Hardly anything could be more asymmetric. I believe the potent
