Not sure if being an introvert should be a limiting factor. I love my “bat cave”, working from home (live alone), I don’t generally like talking to people, even about relatable topics, but I noticed precisely what the OP is saying, the bene

I thought it was just me! You click on their logo/site name, thinking it’ll send you to their main Website... nope! They are doing the same with documentation sites. Is that better for SEO or what? Not even one link? Or hidden? Who tho

This. Also, at least being offline-first should be a must. I went to a friend’s house, and she has a system to enable and disable lights, water, etc. There was a power outage in the area... she couldn’t enable the water to flow. What a joke

Looks interesting. Have you thought about providing it as a Homebrew Cask? Anyways, looking into it.

Someone shared the tool, I went looking for the HN announcement. I’ve been trying some designs, mostly looking for limitations, and I’m pleased so far. I hope I have really sophisticated cases soon to review edge cases, but I wanted to wish

Who’s the scamming Sales team? Datadog’s? I’ve seen it happen first hand where our side promises to be on board, and we start cancelling meetings with them, don’t follow Datadog training, report we don’t have time this week on Datadog meeti

I saw the fall of NewRelic when they started copying DD pricing practices, but to be honest, it was all the startup ecosystem at the time that started doing stuff like that.

What I’ve seen happen is that people pay Datadog and, for some reason or another, they: 1. Cannot really get the whole team on Datadog onboarding (Development too, not just “Infra”), so there are these really deep gaps that will never,

There is a Chapter in “Turn the Ship Around”[1] where the author mentions a case of a navy officer (I think) that practically abandoned post because of all the unorganized ways and routines made him actually have sleep deprivation. There ar

Would you happen to know of a documented workflow? Or blog posts that present solutions like this. I would be very interested in how seeing how other people are doing it. Thanks!

Not only it’s probably cheaper in France, but France has strong employee-protection laws, so closing a company there will probably be more costly on severances alone, assuming they can justify to the government why they are closing that com

With games costing $70 now, I'm thinking it several times now before shelling out the money, specially for those AAA-valued bad/low-quality games, Game Pass or not. Argument is still valid, since I’ve not bought AAA games for more

I use Firefox Focus on Android. I don’t really care for most articles I open on my phone, usually a quick look will do, so whenever I close it or it automatically closes all tabs I’m not in the least worried.

Yeah, that’s exactly what the Data team does here. It was researched, it was tested, it was implemented, it was proven, it gets improved from time to time, it works. We Platform just help them test or setup some things from time to time, bu

Not officially, but these days first things I setup in Onboarding documents (if they don’t have it already) is how to setup Homebrew. I install pretty much everything I need on macOS through Homebrew these days.

It has a timeframe, though, so while it does automatically update every so often, it’s not every time you run `upgrade` or `install`, so running the `brew update` makes sure your OCD matches your needs.

What should people use? With basic parameters in place so it doesn’t eat your billing, it’s been working great with me for years. Initially with New Relic, then Datadog, now a setup with OpenTelemetry is good enough.
