Keep it up! What trickery does OrbStack[0] use to be fast? We went back to Podman Desktop because of the license[1], but the interactions on macOS are almost as slow as Docker Desktop. As for Podman itself, happy users here, and our workflo

I’m really, really liking this. I’ve been testing the whole stack on a local server, finding kinks, documenting workflows, because I hope I move us to this soon. Now with Pyroscope I would love to try it out even more. I kid you not, we wer

Absolutely this. I use it on my Kindle all the time for this same purpose, and come back to some of them when I know the Chapter they are in and I need to refresh a concept or phrase.

It’s great to read this. I dabbled and make demos from time to time (in other engines) and show them to friends. Could you list some of those downsides you mention? Not just for me, developers sometimes also read things here on HN that are

I think it all boils down to execution and the company’s mindset and skillset. I was also a Quality Engineer for a time, and one of our bigger projects was to implement precisely a Natural Language system or something so that PMs or whoever

I also use Firefox Focus on Android. Latest Android versions took away the option to NOT have a default application to open files/links, so I had to pick Firefox Focus as default, even though I immediately open it in Chrome for things

Why do you expect jobs situation to get worse in 2023? Shouldn’t these corrections happen now so companies plan their runway to ~2 years?

Yes, to me this would be a better addition to the article, explain the tool real goal. Now... you need metrics and analytics over what’s going on with your products. This sounds like something that helps address that somehow, staying anonym

Doesn’t matter much: Damage done; you can even see from other comments here already. They probably didn’t check the so called contract linked, much less the article itself which is pretty, pretty light on any kind of legitimate details. Com

I don’t abhor those smells per se, but I hate when they stick to surfaces so everything smells like that. Yes, we could “tolerate” them, but why should we? If it were for short periods of time, sure, I guess, but long-term? There are less a
