You don’t know anyone who uses an iPhone to browse the web? Pretty sure that is where that Safari market share comes from.

There are other benefits of self driving cars. For example average utilization of a self driving car would be at least an order of magnitude greater than non-self driving one. Think about how much time a car spends parked and waiting to be

Yes, much better. In the last 8 years I haven’t had an update reset my settings yet. On major OS upgrades it will ask me to opt into telemetry but it defaults to my last selection which is “off”. Apple is far from perfect but I haven’t se

It is a bad manager that can’t just deal directly with those people. They should warn, then PIP, and then fire those people. You don’t need to punish the people that can work remotely because some people have no self control. So, yes I do

There are similar results for other IQ tests as well. You can study and practice to improve your score. Which shows that they aren’t really measuring raw intelligence. But, that doesn’t mean they aren’t measuring fitness for a task at le

Weird, yeah not sure why I had so many issues but it was an adventure to get all rolled back. Booting into recovery mode it had no issues charging or recognizing usb devices. So guessing something borked at the OS level. Just a guess thou

Not IOS but MacOS Sonoma made my 2019 Intel MacBook Pro close to unusable. Constant kernel panics, usb ports not consistently recognizing devices, charging not working when powered on, wouldn’t recognize displays over HDMI. I had to roll b

Yeah Linux desktop environments are a bit of a mess but OP specifically called out MacOS as well. Once you add Rectangle it is a solid DE in my opinion. Also it is Unix/linux compatible so kind of the same beast with good GUI/ha

Just curious what tools are you missing on MacOS or Linux that are found on Windows? I have been on MacOS the last 8 years or so but before that was all Windows and Linux. I prefer MacOS now but curious what I am missing. My colleagues th

Yeah I am having to downgrade to Ventura. There is a nasty external monitor bug where I can’t use HDMI to my TV anymore over a USB-C adapter. Ventura it works just fine though. But, I upgraded to fix a preview bug in Ventura where Previe

In the US there are lots of long 3-4 lane highway stretches where this is perfectly fine. Also we already see this on mountain ascents. Plenty of times I have seen trucks climbing a pass at 30-45mph in the right lane and cars zipping up i

I will look into it but from my previous reading it was only storing that for the Teams functionality and if that wasn’t used it wasn’t stored. Thanks though I will double check. If it is storing this I will need to move clients again lol.

In my experience preconditions are invaluable but fine grained post conditions within a function can get unwieldy really fast. I tend to move my post conditions outside to the caller. So, they end up in my calling modules and integration

The entire city of Petra was lost to western society (rediscovered in early 1800s) despite it being a part of the Roman Empire at one point and major trading hub for hundreds of years. We lose stuff all the time.
