Interesting suggestion! I really cannot stand this book, but I appreciate all of the things you've gleaned from it and I'm glad it's had a positive impact on people. I actually really like Pirsig's ideas about quality

RE: Mottaini - always-pray is definitely annoying, but I don't think it holds up with deeper strategy. If your opponent is doing it vehemently, remember that you now have absolute control over what actions they take, and find a route t

I think that family of ClearType bugs persisted for like 5 years on Chrome for Windows (I only noticed it fixed last fall?) so I'm not surprised people were attempting extreme fixes. The text looked really bad. EDIT: Sibling post sugge

If anything, their adaptability gives me confidence. They have little power to stop vendors from creating new emojis that are morphologically distinct from existing ones, so they might as well wrangle them into a standard.

Yeah I was in a similar position with a lot of code work from a startup that crashed (wasn't the founder, but 1st technical team member, and the founder ended up being useless as a reference) that people refused to look at. One thing I

It's not canonicalization, it's extracting the hostname from the origin (which contains the protocol and port info as well) without implementing your own URL parsing.

For passersby who were confused like I was: IntelliJ Community Edition has absolutely no support for Javascript or Typescript, which is not noted clearly in the help docs. You apparently need Ultimate Edition to get it. I was real excited
