... That's complete crap, not all cultures believe that. Even the concept of 'individual rights' is a western concept. Ever considered the possibility that we (humans) don't have rights. Again, ethnocentric, just because you think the wor

> The goal of a country is to allow her citizens to have "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness". I think you mean just one country there... Generalising to all countries is a little ethnocentric, no?

Just to note: This is a licensing change (I think). Because flex developers have had access to ALL the flex code for years now. (And all the embarrassing comments as well ;) )

That's right, Hacker News is about compromising security and cracking software.... How did I miss that all this time? My initial post (which has been down voted out of existence) is a valid point. I don't actually care whether Apple get hac

No one is at all concerned that this is a hack? I know it's interesting stuff, but I'm curious what "rights" Applidium have in publishing this information. With this information, (if I'm not wrong) it wouldn't take long to simply DDoS Siri.

I'm not sure highlighting Amazon's Kindle Fire's reliance on 'streaming' over 'local storage' is a clear "positive vs negative". You can't stream without a (reasonable) internet connection... Seems more of a trade-off than an improvement.

No. More like if you wrote a toolkit for displaying ui items in canvas (I think Mozilla did this with Ace/Bespin/Skywriter/whatever-its-called), then it would be equivalent to flex.

Which peaceful protest are you referring to? Tiananmen square protests (what the "Tanks" were implying) were not peaceful. They started that way, but they were not that way, when the military stepped in. There have been numerous reports t

I'm pretty sure Julian Assange is facing this exact problem. When you challenge authority... the results are predictable (regardless of the ideology behind the authority). Also note: Most chinese (i'd say) don't worry about this. So the po

I don't think that's true. Canvas tag was in safari (both desktop and mobile) and Firefox. Flash (at it's core) is just a canvas you can draw on. 2 Years ago, Flash (or Flex) was immature (for RIA), had poor tools, and poor runtime support

Not quite, It was pointed out it was a cited article, you called the author into question, and was shown the author is credible. The only fallacies are coming from your posts, not from the article in question... :\
