Didn't the quotation from Kubrick in the original piece say exactly this? That it was nearly impossible to communicate what he (Kubrick) wanted to "even the most talented and sensitive camera man?

If you're explaining the value of your software to a prospect, why not also go off on a tangent at the behest of the prospect. The role whose function an interview most resembles is that of a sales person. Having been in hundreds of sales m

If you have to interact with customers at all, this is a very realistic situation. The candidate would get points for following up on the tangent question after demonstrating the ability to control the flow of the conversation. That may not

I think it accepts the fact that traditional engineering toys are boy oriented, and adds a girl oriented toy to the market. Seems less about changing prevailing attitudes and more about using presenting cool stuff about engineering to girls

I hate, hate, hate games that use in-app purchases as a significant part of game play (and removing grinding qualifies, imo), to the point that I look to see what the top in-app purchase are and won't download games which let you buy in-gam

I'd like this very much, but I'd also like to have it made as easy as possible to spend the credit. I made some quick suggestions in another reply, but I'd like to get an email (or App notification, or something) that prompted me to select

This is really cool. I would love an option for a repeating monthly donation. Maybe send me an email with candidates either based on random draw, treatments which just need a bit more to get over the top, or something similar.

That's a very valid concern, even for smaller ERP implementations, I expect that it will be the case that there will be quite a bit of diversity in the schemas. It will certainly be true for larger ERP implementations.

I don't see how you can possibly target the second group of clients with a startup. Organizations in the second category will by-and-large have the following properties: A) Already have an ERP implementation of some sort. It may be awful,

As a system admin, what do you do when someone comes to you and says "how much hardware do I need to support my application?" Imagine trying to give them the correct answer without being able to talk to them.

"North of $2k" is not a large number. The company that I work for routinely sells services for 10's or 100's of thousands of dollars (and software for 10x of that). No one purchases that via web form. We also offer a cheap, buy via credit

If you get an offer (at any level), there's no harm in trying to negotiate a bit. I've never heard of a situation where you say, "I'm really excited about this offer, but I was hoping for X salary-wise." and the company rescinds the offer.
