I tried to make a udemy course a few years ago, same topic. My biggest issue was that I needed a complete course for that. Maybe my goals are too lofty, but I got 5 or 6 modules in and lost momentum. I wanted a place where I could post as I

This is interesting. I'm starting to make a computer security course right now and I've chosen to put it on pornhub. The monetization options are better for creators (I can sell videos!). Obviously, pornhub is going to restrict th

Yea, I think PWAs are a great substitute for apps. I wrote a websocket chat that my girlfriend and I use. It works great on desktop and mobile, makes for a seamless transition from commute to work. I'm less hyped about the electron eco

I have had quite a bit of trouble registering an insta account via Tor. I get that the IPs are likely blacklisted for abuse, but I do not see a path to privacy on that platform. Would they be interested in supporting an onion url for insta?

Reasons I'm interested, stability and transaction fees. You don't want to pay someone in a deflationary currency, as their salary will always increase. A stable coin solves this in allowing people to actually use it. The lower fee

The Zoom client on Linux used to (?) have a nasty command injection. The URL for joining a meeting got passed to some bash reinvocation (so they could set the library path if my memory serves me). A specially crafted URL could execute comma

I think (hope) the fees will be significantly lower for Libra than the credit and debit card networks. That is the biggest selling point for me.

This is the direction I hope the Boring Company goes in. Since underground temperature is so well regulated, subterranean structures may have some good applications as climate change continues to progress.

I don't want to build a pork farm, I want some higher density housing so that I pay less in rent. This isn't an extreme thing. I am also a rich person and have heard some very dumb excuses as to why my colleagues' neighborhoo

I do not think that is distinct to YIMBYs. I am forced to live with the externalities of high housing prices (3400 for a 900 sq.ft 2 bed room), lower freedom to utilize personal property (land), high homeless population, and cities you need

Taking backyard literally, this is exactly the opposite of what is happening. NIMBYs are concerned far beyond their property line. If someone owns land, they shouldn't be blocked from increasing density by someone who doesn't own

Yes, this would be pretty easy to solve with an initialization function and using that everywhere. Change the arguments in the function prototype and the compiler will definitely complain!

That would get wrecked right quick. First is the assumption that every house had internet for the doorbell. Next is that they wouldn't be broken or spray painted over. Third, how easy are they to steal? That is a high ticket item. Last

I ate it on a JUMP bike going down Rose. It was out of zone and the only explanation that I can come up with is that it locked up the back tire. I ride bikes a lot and have no clue why I went down on that thing. I lost a ton of skin on my k

Alright, this is just a prepaid access system built on top of crypto . I strongly believe the need for a prepaid access system to lower transaction fees for moving money digitally, but the companies backing this are some of the most vile.

This is the best worst idea I've ever heard. A lot of the offices (Google) are along the water, so the commute could be pretty ideal.

If they can move your money cheaper than credit and debit card networks. That is the only part I'm interested in. Given they are partnered with PayPal though, I'm not hopeful on it being low fee.

I agree. My biggest fear is that we're getting a little too heavy on protectionism and regulation. We have giants in a lot of industries with regulatory capture. I think China's loose approach to IP may allow them to eat our lunch
