Also the good old phishing emails/links. So many people are simply unaware when a website is pretending to look like an app/floating window. Even younger people who you'd hope know better are falling for it today. I work on a

Is any SQL database suitable for 50GBps of network traffic hitting it? Most if not all of your concerns with SQLite are simply a matter of not using the default configuration. Enable WAL mode, enable strict mode, etc. and it's a lot be

I'm with you but it's not up to us. Computing has been moving more and more away from desktops and laptops in new (human) generations. iPadOS is slowly becoming Mac-like where you can have a cursor, dock, and have apps open as win

The problem is different parts of the SoC (CPU, GPU, NPU) may not actually be able to consume all of the bandwidth available to the system as a whole. This is why you'd need to benchmark - different chips may be able to feed the cores

I would expect/hope that DGX would be able to make better use of its bandwidth than the M4 Max. Will need to wait and see benchmarks.

As a Steam Deck user I'd rather have the platform kept open like how it is now than lock it down. It's one of the significant advantages the Steam Deck (and PC gaming in general) has over consoles.

I'm not familiar with Rocket League but server authoritative netcode is not comparable to cloud gaming. All games should be as server authoritative as possible to prevent cheating from the start. The problem is the client may have more

Burst is an impressive piece of tech but it really only exists because both Mono and IL2CPP are shockingly slow. Mike Acton worked under DOTS which is the only place you'd actually see the benefits of Burst. The 99% (or more) of Unity

Yes, consoles, phones, and web are the hard ones to support due to a lack of JIT support. That's going to take some time to resolve. Especially since Native AOT is much more restrictive than IL2CPP. IMO Burst was a mistake. C# running

I disagree. I believe there are enough game developers out there who enjoy using C# that would look for it in their next game engine. If Unity is gone it would leave a large hole to fill. The upside is Unity's C# support is the worst a

Multiplayer video games are the big one. There's no reason why you couldn't apply the same kind of synchronization to a web app. You'll just need to decide on an approach because not all games do it the same way. Most likely

I also found it weird. They're basically doing what multiplayer games do but for a web app. Not the typical way you'd build your web backend but nothing actually new... not even using CRDTs, just inspired by them.
