Yeah. You don't get paid for hard work, you get paid for experience applied to lucrative problems.

There is 100% that. Any frame can have an 'export' set on it, where you specificy the format (svg, png ..), suffix, pixel density etc. The name will be set by the name of the frame, and '/' creates nested folders. T

There's a lot of variable typefaces that let you set the x-height, which can be controlled via CSS.

$5 that was human error in post. Usually you'd have an animation made manually, not recorded from a simulator, then composite that onto the final shot. It's pretty hard to record screens without blowing out the dynamic range of th

I dunno, I think his point is very valid. Chat bots can't do literally anything at all, and an empty text input isn't going to help guide a user towards what it can do, and what it's good at. Just because a system has a LLM t

Yeah, exactly. A freeform input promises it can do 'anything at all' but if it can't in reality, it's always a frustrating interface. Classic example, Siri. It's so easy to quickly find stuff you feel like it should

Hard agree. I've worked with specialised user researchers before and holy shit they're good. I've never ever once thought doing research was a waste of time. It's so worth the money. It's just really easy to get tra

This could be tested with usability studies and a good user researcher. Make a prototype of the 'fast' way, and the 'lower cognitive load' way. Try it with 15 people per prototype, track metrics, and ask people about the

Design is a field where there's no clear 'correct' answer, in a vast sea of opinions. Honestly UI design is surprsingly tame compared to other areas of design (interior, architecture, typography etc). If there's a uni ne

Autolayout is definetly a good approach. Webflow is a good commercial example, their builder isn't a canvas experience, it's a nested block experience, so you're forced to think about the layout from the start - and it works.

Super interesting. 1. How are you going to get over the layout logic hump? Converting from elements on an x/y canvas to actually good frontend code (Properly nested dom elements, responsive etc) is really hard. I'm pretty sure it&

Yeah, I'm interpreting this as instead of sending an integer of the tick that something occured on, they're sending a floating number of when it happened. I assume the float they send will have a limit in accuracy however. So real

Shouldn't really make any difference, because they're already super effective with ticks. Having more fine timing accuracy doesn't drastically improve them.

Yeah, it's a box ticking exercise not a finding laundered money exercise. For one, the idea of approaching AML on an organisation to organisation basis seems flawed. Like no team has the whole view, so how can you be effective. Example
