Unless it's in a browser it's not using Websockets. TCP where the overhead is acceptable or packetloss is not, turn based strategy, slower pased role playing games. UDP where minimal lag is needed, FPS's mainly.

Are you saying that the client determined their own position? How did you account for people cheating?

Do you know what "startsWith" does? It checks if the string starts with a given string. "Windows 9", "Windows 95", and "Windows 98" all start with "Windows 9".

I've seen Hurricane Electric before but I didn't understand what they were. Can you explain how they are different from a traditional ISP like Comcast?

What country are you in and what country are they in? If it's something like US -> UK you have legal recourse most likely. If it's something like US -> Somalia then you're out of luck, stop working and demand payment. A

About ~6k a semester, assuming 16 credit hours. The university also gave me a ton of grant money for good grades/ACT score in HS. It's a pretty nice school honestly, I think a lot of people in the area look down at it because it&#

Wikipedia is wrong, most university's in the US have tuition(paid specifically based on how many classes you have) and fees(flat fee for everyone, not based on how many classes you have).

Maybe they have some chinese obj-c to english obj-c compiler then they just run it through clang. Or maybe he meant "written in China".

If this affected non-jailbroken devices they wouldn't be wasting their efforts using it against protesters. Something like that would be extremely valuable.

I go to Oakland University in Michigan and we are the only University in the state(country?) to charge no fees. Tuition is still high but that is usually set by the state.

by Igglyboo 12y ago
It's really crazy how the students reacted to this when the fees were introduced. They were very low compared to the US, less than 1000 euros for an entire year yet the students responded with mass protests and vandalism. On university

> How often do you start up an editor per day? Probably 50 to 100 times. Also it's not just the startup time, atom in general is slow but most of the work being done is on the speed of the editor and not startup time. While I do agr

Yea a few minutes is ridiculous. IntelliJ takes max 30s for me to start and it's pretty heavy, I can't imagine waiting more than a whole minute. That's just unacceptable.

by Igglyboo 12y ago
I completely agree, atom takes about 2s to open on my machine and it drives me insane. IntelliJ on the other hand takes about 15-30s, depending on the size of the project, to open and it doesn't bother me at all. Maybe because IntelliJ

"The investors have explicitly agreed to this in their investment terms." So the investors have it in their contract and the actually talked to an ex-SEC lawyer, pretty sure that constitutes intent.

As long as they don't tie this to imaginary internet points I can't see a problem. If karma is involved they better have a pretty advanced anti-gaming algorithm.

How do they prevent you from making a copy of your E-Ticket and simply showing up to the event earlier than the buyer, or even selling it somewhere else?

True, as would the TV. But we could still do all of that easily for under a grand which is still insane.

Is this really a "hidden" danger? It's pretty obvious that you shouldn't execute a script without reading it unless it's from a trusted source over https.

There's no way they're pushing out a GPLv3 version of bash, you sure you didn't confuse it with a brew/macports installed version?
