- pmr_ 12y agoThere seems to be a confusion of words here. You seem to make a difference between tuition and tuition fees while the Wikipedia [1] article suggests that those terms mean the same in different English dialects. As for Germany: almost all public Universities still take fees (usually around 100 Euros per semester, tax refundable). Tuition was a new thing and is what has been abandoned again. 1: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuition_payments http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuition_payments
- Igglyboo 12y agoWikipedia is wrong, most university's in the US have tuition(paid specifically based on how many classes you have) and fees(flat fee for everyone, not based on how many classes you have).
- valarauca1 12y agoWhat is Oakland's Rough cost per semester? I live in the area and attend their security conferences from the outside looking in it seems like a decent school. I already work as an software developer but a degree doesn't hurt my career options.
- Igglyboo 12y agoAbout ~6k a semester, assuming 16 credit hours. The university also gave me a ton of grant money for good grades/ACT score in HS. It's a pretty nice school honestly, I think a lot of people in the area look down at it because it's mostly a commuter school but it's comparable to MSU in quality of education and way cheaper.
