I had to unfollow a couple of people. There's "having a good time" and there's "constant idyllic life". If you aren't careful it turns from "keeping up with x" to "comparing against x".

I'm working on switching insurances this month. 18+ months of being unable to pay online. If they don't want my money and competitors are cheaper why am I debugging their website to get passed all of their JS errors?

Yikes I appear to have picked up some bad info. This sounds like a good story, but it's written in a way that I'm expected to fill in the background.

Call recording is only legal with single party consent in 2 states. Google voice allows recording incoming calls, but not outgoing. 1) Low demand 2) High impact of getting it wrong (untested legal consequences?) 3) lack of a good story. IE:

I tried it, it was state specific and required self reporting positive cases to alert others. I suspect the heavy opt in nature made it much less useful. I'm curious if it was useful in some areas

As another response says: turn off phone is an option. Leave in another room. Note: I didn't say I'd carry this phone with me 100% of the time OR keep it turned on. These are good secondary rules to discuss. (Tangent: how do I kno

Depends on the size of the function. If these are literal one liners: don't break them up. When they are shared between multiple pieces it's more useful. Ie: submit request has multiple callers.

onClick => onAccept => submitRequest The downside is lots of little functions, the plus side is smaller behaviors. (Ie avoiding 5 levels of nesting in a single function.)

Interesting precedent. Will they bill Microsoft? If not, I'm curious if this could mark the start of externalizing security and cleanup responsibilities to the federal government.
