I agree and found myself wondering what Steve Jobs would think of these events. I think he might like it in that they would be "perfect" as he was notoriously fastidious about these types of events. However, he might also not li

There was also a comment on the video that mentioned that the fix probably wouldn't last. The battery packs are a unit and they don't like it when pieces are older / newer than the rest of the unit. Tesla might know that wh

Myself and another developer got put into a vault one time. It was really nice; we liked the same type of music and just jammed and programmed the entire time.

When does "Windows" become enough of a liability that it starts losing market share? Will that ever happen? Or will Microsoft start building more secure versions before that happens? I'm pretty excited about Microsoft adopt

I really miss video arcades. Walking in and being accosted by the lights and sounds and darkness was a great experience. Maybe this development will make arcades a thing again. I can see this being gamified by Stern; "Play pinball i

Yes, you're probably right. For proof we just need to look at RAM & CPU requirements for most software. As both of those components increased, the software grew to consume them. sigh one can wish, can't one?

I didn't even think about non-silicon based chips being viable, let alone more efficient. The article mentions that SiC (Silicon Carbide) chips can be 50% more efficient. Diamond based chips can reduce energy loss by one-50,000th of

No joke, I'm really starting to understand the mentality around public execution. I don't condone violence in any form, but given these acts of non-action by the government, it brings to light, in a real-world sense, why these up

I've attended several re:Invent conferences in the past and I really liked most of them. However, re:Invent has gotten so large that it's almost impossible to navigate. You really expect me to get value from this along with 50,0

You would think having cold water applied to your underside would be uncomfortable, but it's not really. Sure, its a bit of a shock sometimes but you get used to it. And honestly, not having to wipe (and wipe and wipe) is 100% worth

I agree about the battery powered lawn devices. I started with a lawn mower and a string trimmer, graduated to a chainsaw, and finally ended up with a leaf blower. I love them all! You don't realize how much time and attention you gi

I have seen a lot of arguments about how owning an EV while living in an apartment is a non-starter. Does this service change that equation? On the one hand, I think it does. Say, I'm going to the mall for shopping. I can order up

Yes, but I'm not so sure it will actually have much impact in a real world sense. Firstly, this only affects North American Nissan vehicles and while the Leaf was the best selling BEV for many years, the sales were not huge. Second,

Tesla has always offered the charging network and patents for anyone to use. The other automakers chose to go another way, unfortunately. I guess it makes sense from their standpoint; you don't want your product tied to a competitor.
