If such simple changes have that big of an effect on you, you're in the wrong. I'd like Meta to spin off WhatsApp and Instagram, then shut down for good.

Working with modern technologies, it's incredible to me that the transistors are on the same order of scale as the bond-out pads.

There are plenty of people who aren't in the US, and have their own constitutions, your title should probably address that. Misunderstanding what freedom of expression means in the US is very common. Without weighing in on whether it w

This article seems to be making misleading claims. The much better NPR article [1] says that it's those 12 people who are the source of 65% false claims and hoaxes, not 65% of propaganda. One is an idea, the other is content. [1]: htt

I used to wonder how companies like TomTom stay in business, given how big products like Google Maps have become. More recently I've seen some media that showed off one of those stand-alone GPS devices (I don't remember which bran

You shouldn't completely rely on the code you put out into the world in devices remaining secret. A sufficiently capable adversary will likely eventually get your data. Whether you're talking about a $0.30 MCU with the lock e-fuse

That Veritasium video is one of the most controversial educational videos I've seen. I think one of the issues with it is that it's a bit pedantic, but also ignores other issues, that invites other people to be pedantic about it.

Done deal, you now own 25 bits of the hash. I'll be sending out an invoice for the $48828.12 (adjusted down because you can't receive 25.6 bits of it).

Blanket rules like "never use `goto`" are generally not great. A big part of the job of a software developer is knowing when to use what bits of a language. Sometimes code with `goto` is simply easier to understand. You have to be
