Facebook is the first to market with a polished openclaw? Good for them.
I'm sure many others will criticize other aspects of Meta, and rightly so. But imagine using a Claw agent with zero tech support available
- locusofself 25d agoI don't understand the meaning of the last sentence of this comment
- joshstrange 25d agoThey are saying OpenClaw/friends are hard to get setup and keep running without technical knowledge. Saying "Think of how hard it would be to setup OpenClaw without technical support"
- porridgeraisin 25d agoInstinct exists with the same features. It is quite good. I was thinking they were gonna get acquired by meta 100%, but looks like meta has a competitor.
- aprilthird2021 25d agoIt will probably fail bc they can't compete with instant distribution to 3B people worldwide
- porridgeraisin 25d agoYep. But I suppose these are early forms of the product and who distributes the next, high PMF product the best is what matters. So I wouldn't write off others.
- jvwww 23d agoI use Instinct and I'm very happy with it so far. It has booked some restaurants for me, replied to some personal admin-related emails, and updates my progressive workout spreadsheet when i go to the gym. No real complaints so far.
- nater5000 25d agoI mean, Google and x.AI already have stuff like this. There's plenty of other options as well. And even outside of that, I've heard the promise of "let AI book your reservations!" since before LLMs became a thing. None of this seems new. Maybe polished, but useless to anyone who is seriously using AI for anything important. I imagine this is effectively a toy for boomers who want to feel like they're keeping up with the latest tech by tapping a few buttons in Facebook. And none of that even touches that fact that nobody should be OK with Meta having this kind of access to their life. But I'll leave that to others to harp on lol
- mgaunard 24d agoNone of them lets you have a hosted dedicated agent with real browsing capabilities on the free tier.
- msh 25d agoxAI/cursor was first with grokbot
- aprilthird2021 25d agoPeople didn't know because "grokbot" sounds like a bot that makes revenge porn of your enemies
- porridgeraisin 25d agoIt was behind the heavy 100$/mo+ plans. Clearly meant for enterprise and not consumer.
- qingcharles 24d agoOnly for about a week. Then they saw sense and started rolling it out to the peasants too. I use it every day now, having it look a few times a day for glitched pricing deals and hunting down useful directories to list my projects in.
- threecheese 24d agoStealing and spamming? Sounds right :) jk
- small_model 25d agoGrokbot wa first and enterprise and consumer focused
- kevinlou 25d agoBoth enterprise AND consumer-focused? You've got to pick a lane.
- wraptile 24d agonot if your job is to blatantly shill a billionaire
- small_model 24d agoTrillionaire :D
- fwip 24d agoAs far as I know, he hasn't been a trillionaire since June.
- small_model 23d agoA sense of humour is important in life
- fwip 23d agoSorry, humor was outlawed again after Musk and Trump had their little spat.
- solarkraft 24d agoGrok is made by Elon Musk and hence fit for neither
- 24d ago
- iamdelirium 25d agoThis is not even true. Gemini Spark has been there for a while.
- theplumber 24d agoI mean nobody really uses Gemini because is just too weak…
- artdigital 24d agoMore because Spark is not good. Gemini Flash 3.8 is an awesome model! I use it all the time Spark asks you for every single tool call, often forgets earlier parts of the conversation, is unable to use apps unless you explicitly tag them and and and Google has great models, but their harnesses and products are just bad
- Rodmine 24d agoGoogle definitely does not have good models and if it does, Gemini Flash series models are definitely not them. I use the Google Gemini app daily (for searches, research etc.), everyday, for some query, gemini flash 3.8 hallucinates, does not understand context etc. in quite short conversations. I switch back to 3.1 pro and it works fine. Which brings me to why do they get good benchmark scores? Have never really understood this. They must be optimizing just for this.

- frangonf 24d agoOpenclaw creator Peter Steinberg was in talks with Zuck at the beginning of the year before choosing to work for Openai. I think Meta limiting factor for this product was lack of agentic capable models which they fixed now with aggressive RLHF focused data gathering.
- visarga 24d agoRLVR
- chipgap98 24d agoMeta isn't known for having great customer support
- noir_lord 24d agoThat depends on who you think Meta’s customer is.
- justapassenger 24d agoTheir support for advertisers is one of the worst in the business.
- BrokenCogs 24d agoThey're not the first. Each lab has its own: grok bot, codex desktop, perplexity computer, Claude whatever
- alexkkoo93 24d agoOnly Grokbot, openclAw, hermes, and instinct compare right now due to the mobile-first form factor.
- archon810 22d agoYeah. Codex and Cowork are full of papercuts when it comes to usability. Grok Bot is head and shoulders better and more pleasant to use. And Muse is similar to Grok Bot.
- sandinmyjoints 24d agoClaude Whatever would actually be a pretty good product name
- tonyhart7 24d ago"This account needs permission to view this page The account you're signed into doesn't have access to this page. Please log out and follow the steps in your email." there is no logout or instruction whatsoever on email, so zero tech support definitely not true
- ElliotPadfield 24d agoAlso running into this same issue. At first I logged in fine but nothing in the UI would hydrate properly and now just hit with this error.
- welder 24d agoSame here. Facebook has a horrible experience when you're traveling or logging in from a new computer. I still have business Instagram accounts blocked with no way to login and no support. Wouldn't want to depend on anything from Facebook, especially not something with access to my email, calendar, and browser.
- eloisant 24d agoThey have been leading research on AI until ChatGPT was released. They had the FAIR, and Yann Le Cun.
- benkaiser 23d agoMight be more for enterprise, but Microsoft has had Scout for a couple months now too: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2026/06/02/introducing-microsoft-scout-your-always-on-personal-agent/ https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2026/06/0...
