We’re talking about a particularly inconvenient 30 seconds coming out of an expensive machine built entirely for convenience. Some people will want it and pay for it. If I was in the market, I probably would.

It will still be 90% efficient regardless of who uses it. In fact if it is used more, the total losses will be higher. (Some of this becomes clearer when you have a feeling for the units: kW is a measurement of power , not energy)

I’m thinking it probably generates fewer. FWIW, I think the default choices are good (love morph), but no dials is going to get pretty limiting pretty quickly. I’d rather have a fuller library, just with good defaults.

I jumped ship to iOS a few years ago. Android is a strictly worse experience on all accounts with clear ambitions to be just as unfree as iOS, so there is just no point.

Prefill is generally faster than generation, but not by much on older Mac processors. I get around 70-60 tps in prefill on my M1 Max for Muse Glimmer (not sure about the generation speed, probably between 15 and 30). They allegedly improved
